We want the experience to be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible! We come right to you, setting up our equipment at the your loved one’s home. Don’t worry about any surprises—we’ll send the interview questions a few days beforehand. We’ll craft these questions together with you and your family, so they feel just right. The subject doesn’t need to memorize anything; they just need to get familiar with the questions. We’ll take breaks as needed because our goal is for everyone to feel relaxed and have fun throughout the process.
We know you’re excited to see the finished video, and we are too! While the exact timing can vary by project, we always aim to have your video ready within one month. If you have an important event coming up and need it sooner, just let us know, and we will do our very best to make it happen.
We’re committed to creating a beautiful, professional film for you. Our videos are shot and edited using the best software and equipment available, including crystal-clear 4K resolution cameras.
The best stories are told with more than just words! We love weaving in “b-roll,” which is additional footage that helps bring the interview to life. We encourage you and your loved ones to share photos that we can use, and we can also film your loved one doing something they love. For example, if they’re a wonderful gardener, we could capture them tending to their plants to compliment their story.
Many of our clients have health concerns, including memory issues and dementia. Because of this, we always move at whatever pace is most comfortable for them. We give them plenty of time, encourage a family member to be there for support, and can even conduct the interview with two people to make it a shared, low-pressure conversation.
Yes. The videos we produce are created strictly for our clients and their families, not the wider world. Once the video is complete, we will provide the family with a flash drive or a downloadable link containing the final video file to share and preserve as they wish.
Our videos are personalized, high-quality, and produced in cinematic 4K resolution. We use professional technology and thoughtful storytelling to beautifully capture the subject’s voice, enabling them to share their wisdom and speak directly to future generations.
Every video is a collaboration between the subject, their family, and Pennsylvania Legacy Video. Together, we will create a tailored list of interview questions. The subject should review these questions ahead of time, thinking about favorite stories, anecdotes, and key milestones, but we advise against trying to memorize any responses. We always emphasize to our clients that this is their story to tell, meaning they have full control over what questions are asked and how they choose to respond.
The vast majority of our videos are shot right in the subject’s home or a family member’s residence where they feel most comfortable. In some cases, we shoot in other locations, such as senior living facilities. If we film in a community or facility, we will work with you to secure the necessary location release from the organization.
