A social worker, linguistics scholar, and playwright, Monali shared a life with her late husband, Mohan, raising two exceptional children who work in the medical field. She is devoted to her brilliant grandchildren and enjoys cooking for her loved ones and caring for her orchids.
A spoken word poet and fiber artist, Debra has exhibited her work in a number of galleries, including Art in City Hall (Philadelphia), Wallingford Community Arts Center, Mt. Airy Art Garage, Colored Girls Museum, Chester Cultural Arts and Technology Center, Lansdowne Twentieth Century Club, and the National Liberty Museum. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and creating art that embodies themes of family lineage, history, and Black womanhood.
A children's book author and newspaper reporter, Linda adores her two sons and grandchildren. She plays the guitar in a rock band and recently hiked the Camino de Santiago, a 600-mile trail in Spain, with her friend Michael.
